Yes, absolutely. At Performance Remap Specialists, all tuning is carried out within manufacturer-safe parameters. We conduct a full health check and diagnostic scan before any remap to ensure your engine, sensors, and components are in optimal condition. If we find any issues, we won’t proceed until it’s safe to do so. Your car’s reliability and longevity are always our top priority.
Most remaps take between 1–2 hours to complete. This includes a full pre-tune diagnostic check, backup of the original software, performance remapping, and post-tune testing. If you’re having a gearbox remap or a combination package, we’ll advise you of a slightly longer timeframe.
Yes, remapping is considered a performance modification, so we always advise customers to inform their insurer. Some insurers may increase premiums slightly, while others won’t charge more if the work is professionally done. Failing to declare modifications can invalidate your policy, so transparency is essential.
Yes. We always keep a secure backup of your vehicle’s original ECU and/or gearbox software. If you ever want to revert back to stock settings—for example, when selling your car—we can restore the original map quickly and safely, often free of charge for our customers.

We specialise in coding for most major vehicle manufacturers, including BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes, and more. That said, capabilities can vary by make, model, and year—so we recommend getting in touch with your vehicle details, and we’ll quickly confirm what’s possible.
In most cases, no—especially if the coding involves activating features that already exist in the car’s system but are simply turned off from the factory. However, we always advise checking with your dealer or warranty provider if you’re unsure. All our work is non-invasive and can be reverted on request.
